‘Evangelical and Inclusive’ Conference

Only rarely do I use a blog article to advertise something I’m doing. In this case, it’s a conference happening in Manchester, UK, in mid-October.

If that’s of no potential interest, then please ignore this and carry on with your day: normal blog service will be resumed as soon as possible!

I’m part of a small network of biblical scholars and theologians exploring how an inclusive understanding of sexuality and gender can be grounded in the Bible and understood within an evangelical framework.

We’re hosting a 2-day gathering at Luther King House, Manchester, on 15-16 October, Thursday evening through Friday afternoon. There will be both an ‘academic’ track and a ‘church’ track focused on church leaders and church members. I will be speaking at one of the church track sessions.

We’re delighted that the keynote speaker will be the internationally-renowned scholar, Professor John Barclay, speaking on “Is There a Gospel Case for Inclusion?”

A range of tickets is available, including full accommodation options and Friday daytime-only tickets. Places are limited.
